The meaning of my name, ‘Mathabo’ is “mother of happiness” in my home language Sepedi, and through its meaning my goal is to spread kindness and happiness across the globe with the INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR MISS platform.

As the newly crowned international junior miss south Africa junior teen my vision is to inspire not only young girls my age and younger but all women across the globe. We live in a world as women where we are constantly compared to one another by ourselves surprisingly and the people around us. Most of us can agree that being a women is difficult and is a whole task on its own, from having to please society as well as having to be confident even when we are constantly brought down and mistreated.

What we all need to understand today is that you’re not just a women because you can bare children or because you’re married, those are the two main factors that society has labeled as right in order to be considered a women. I’d say a women is someone who is unapologetic of who she is, we are women of many physical differences and that’s what adds to our uniqueness. I want to clear this up and really make sure that you understand that I’m not saying you’re only a women when you’re confident because that’s a journey but you’re a women because you’re able to go through the pressures of this world with a smile on your face.

I hope through my given international junior miss South Africa platform I am able to uplift many during and after my reign.
