International Junior Miss was created to encourage positive achievement by helping to build self-awareness in our youth and young woman of today and it is open to girls aged 4yrs to 24yrs. IJM is “The crown of opportunities”.
Michaela Amoré Chatwind is a goal oriënted, 12 year old philantropist, equestrian and aspiring artist who believes in the power of good values.
Michaela’s philosophy in life is: “Your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure!”
One of her greatest passions and absolute favourite hobbies is horse riding, she believes that this is her escape route when life gets tough.
She is a Grade 7 learner at Goudkop Laerskool, excelling in her academics, holding 2nd place in the academic top 10 ranking ladder of her school with an average of 97%.
She has been living out her modeling dream for 6 years. Michaela holds the record of almost 400 beauty titles. Her passion is pageantry, and she never misses out on a modeling competition. To name a few of her highest achievements on the modeling platform:
Michaela is the youngest ambassador for SANCA Sanpark, and supports all their fundraisers as well as activities throughout the year. She is also PPMC Magazine’s brand ambassador, where she has the great priveledge to scout and interview other models in the industry.
Apart from modeling and being an ambassador, Michaela had the opportunity to work with ABS Productions. She acted in a play with Izak Davel, as well as completing “SPEEL TONEEL” s drama course and “MENTOR MY” s advanced drama course and made her appearance in the shortfilm “Moskombers” featured on DSTV Channel 147. She also managed to aquire a role in a series called “Kruispad” of which the filming will start soon. She also did a few live interviews for the platform “JA” where she played one of the main characters in the first episode of the series Brixton.
In 2009 Michaela appeared in 2 different TV commercials that were broadcast on Belgium TV with the names: “The Altron Group” and the “Witten Reus”.
Michaela also had the opportunity to feature in Irene Louise van Wyk’s latest music video: “Hou jou hande van my lyf af”.
On top of all these achievements, Michaela is also proving to be a first-class philantropist, setting an excellent example for her peers.
Michaela is a true ambassador in her community as she is involved in several goodwill and charity activities and events, forming part of her pageant entries as well. “The Michaela Chatwind Foundation” her very own registered NPO has become a staple in the charity spectrum in her community. She has been accompanied by various roleplayers in assisting the needy through various donation drives. She is very intamitly involved in atleast 3-6 charity projects per month. The foundation receuves donations from the public on a monthly basis, so that she can continue to distribute food, clothing and household items, second-hand clothes and so much more to the people in need.
